This pen was inspired by the architecture, furnishings and decorations of the Federal era, a 50 year period starting around 1780. These reflected the Neoclassical style - influenced by ancient Greece and Rome. This pen features a representation of a convex mirror which illuminated rooms when used with candles. It also includes a Doric column inspired design and an American Eagle which was a popular symbol used during this period of time. And, it is also embellished with intricately detailed scrollwork. This pen includes a case (photo shown is the case with a Victorian style pen) and is available in five different finishes.
